Sadly, there isn’t constantly enough time or energy for us to really do the things we need to do. At the end of the day, most of us want to go home, not to the gym. A juicy, grease laden burger is usually our food of choice and not a leafy green salad (unless we are vegetarians). You should be thankful to learn that getting healthy doesn’t always have to be super difficult. With training you can get all of the nutritional requirements and the physical exercise that you need. Here are some basic ways to get healthy.

Water is the most effective drinks out there. Drinking a soda or cup of coffee every so often won’t hurt you too badly. It is, however, a bad idea to exclusively drink soda or coffee. Ingesting water instead of other types of drinks is a good way to help your body in its health and hydration. You’re also cutting hundreds of calories from your diet— without having to resort to terrible tasting diet food. Water is ordinarily one of the keys to really reducing your weight and getting healthy.

Steps to make Slow Cooked Apple Crumble:
  1. Grease the liner of a 5 ltr slow cooker with butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl mix together all of the filling ingredients that you have chosen to go with, cover with cling film and refrigerate for an hour or two to allow the flavours to infuse.
  3. Meanwhile, in another bowl, rub together by hand the sugar, flour and chilled butter until you have a breadcrumb like consistency.
  4. Gently add in the rest of the ingredients taking care not to over work the mixture as you don't want it to stick together and form a dough. You may choose to hold back a little of the sugar to sprinkle over the top.
  5. When ready, pour your filling mixture into your greased slow cooker liner and gently spoon over the crumble mixture. Sprinkle with any sugar you saved (or just add more if you like).
  6. Cover and cook on the lowest setting for around 4-4.5 hours.
  7. For a crunchier topping you may transfer your slow cooker liner to an oven for the final 10 minutes of cook time. Preheat to around 180 degrees C for this.
  8. Serve straight from the dish with your choice of cream, custard or ice cream.
  9. Sit back, relax and enjoy.
